What we actually implement

LEGIC is not a logo on a datasheet. These are the terms European engineers use. We use them the same way.

LEGIC Prime and Advant

Prime is the installed base in much of DACH. Advant is ISO-based (14443 / 15693) with AES / 3DES options and MTSC. Migration projects usually must read both.

Master-Token System-Control (MTSC)

LEGIC’s authorisation model: the site owns the security hierarchy. We implement reader-side support; we do not hold your master tokens.

SM-4200 and SM-6300

Reader ICs from LEGIC. 6300 is the current generation (secure element class, path to mobile). 4200 remains the workhorse on existing designs. We do not pretend they are interchangeable without a firmware and antenna pass.

Mobile credentials

BLE, LEGIC Connect and Apple Wallet ECP 2.0 are project work, not a default checkbox. If a SKU does not list them, do not assume them.

OSDP

Wiegand is still shipping. OSDP on RS-485 is what tenders in the Nordics and in government work increasingly write. Available on FluxID and OEM reader projects.

RED, not “a CE certificate”

13.56 MHz RFID is radio equipment. Conformity is a manufacturer Declaration of Conformity backed by EN 300 330 / EN 301 489 / EN 62368-1 evidence. See Compliance.
