How CE is handled while the Finnish DoC is issued

CE is not a certificate from Traficom or Tukes. It is a manufacturer declaration. This page states the current facts so a German or Finnish buyer does not have to guess.

Current status

  • Hardware has been assessed against RED 2014/53/EU (typically EN 300 330, EN 301 489-1/-3, EN 62368-1 as applicable) and RoHS 2011/65/EU.
  • Test evidence today sits with the manufacturing company. The EU Declaration of Conformity in the name of the Finnish economic operator is in preparation.
  • Until that DoC is signed, Daostone does not publish a Finnish-letterhead DoC PDF, and we do not claim “certified in Finland”.
  • Qualified OEM customers receive the standards list and report cover pages under NDA. Full technical files follow the same NDA.

Who is who

If a product is placed on the Union market under the Daostone trademark, the Finnish entity is the manufacturer in the meaning of RED (own-brand). If a product ships under the manufacturing company’s trademark, the Finnish entity acts as importer and the two addresses appear on the labelling. We will not mix those two stories on one SKU.

Radio equipment

Every 13.56 MHz module or reader here is radio equipment. Your finished lock, charger or MFP remains your product: you are manufacturer of the complete apparatus. We supply module RED evidence and integration notes to make that assessment narrower, not to replace it.

Labelling we will not do

  • No “Tukes certified” or “Finnish CE certificate” — those documents do not exist in this form.
  • No “certified in 110 countries”.
  • No UHF claim on FluxID.
  • No Apple Wallet / ECP 2.0 / LEGIC Connect on a SKU that does not list it.
