The standard module is the starting point, not the product.

European lock, charger, MFP and lift manufacturers do not share a housing. We change footprint, antenna, firmware framing and host protocol. Prototype target: seven working days after a frozen envelope.

Form factor

Pin, SMD or a cut-down PCB that matches your keep-out and connector.

Antenna

Coil matching for metal doors, COP panels and charger fascias. We do not quote 5 cm as a promise in steel.

Host protocol

UART framing, Wiegand bits, Clock/Data. OSDP (RS-485) on FluxID and custom readers.

Power

Standby firmware, wake on card, 3.3 V vs 5 V. Current curves under NDA.

Credentials

Prime / Advant mix, DESFire files, UID-only policies — written down, not implied.

NPI

Samples, golden units, change control. Silicon and RF changes reopen RED evidence.

How a design-in runs

    Envelope

    Housing drawing, stack-up, host voltage, interface, credential list, yearly volume.

  2. 02

    Proposal

    SKU or custom, antenna approach, firmware, sample date, compliance path.

  3. 03

    Samples

    Evaluation kit or fitted prototypes. You read your cards, not ours only.

  4. 04

    Freeze

    BOM freeze, labelling (manufacturer / importer), DoC linkage, production.
